Silver nitrate is very important, it can make or break an image very easily, despite knowing this fact, it is all too easy to try to speed up the waiting time. These two images were taken within a short time, light conditions were the same, timing was the same, temperature was the same, but I mistimed the silver nitrate on the first image. If I was a methodical sort of person, this would not have happened. Unfortunately I still spill food on myself on the odd occasion and have a knack for forgetting where I am and what I am doing. If you are like me, then take heed. These were also taken in 37 degree heat, on that note collodion does not like 37 degree heat and started to leak vapour, which began hissing out from under the tightly closed cap. Note to self, keep collodion in a cool location while working.
